Fly

These legs hold me to the ground

but I just want to fly

This life, it’s weighing me down

                  but I just want to fly.

My arms reach up

         reach out

                  stretch far

                           tip toes

                                    I try

Let me fly!

Let me feel wind through my hair

         caressing my skin.

Let me smell sweet breezes

         and soar through the blue

                  without a care.
